The Organisers of the Future
Event Horse League are delighted to announce that the Irish Horse
Board has decided tosubstantially increase its allocation to FEHL
for 2005, in the light of 'the significant contribution that FEHL
is making to the Sport Horse sector'.
This welcome development clearly
recognises the growth and impact of the FEHL concept, both nationally
and internationally, since its inception only four years ago.
Talented 4-, 5- and 6-year old
Irish horses are sourced and promoted through a nation-wide league
of Qualifiers, using unique and purpose-built courses that guarantee
a significant and consistent standard of performance for all horses
that qualify for the Final at Tattersalls in Fairyhouse at the
end of September. Progress can be monitored throughout the season
on the FEHL website www.fehl-ie-com and, inevitably, the best
of each crop are spotted by discerning customers. Already, FEHL
'graduates' are competing with distinction in horse trials around
the world - witness CAVALDI who is featured at the back cover
of this year's Schedule.
So, it is precisely to broaden
the focus of exposure for these young talented Irish horses that
the Irish Horse Board has given us further recognition by increasing
its funding and support.
In 2005, the Irish Horse Board
will
Provide
funding towards five introductory Training Clinics for potential
FEHL competitors
Reward the highest-placed
IHB registered mare in each age group at the Final, as well as
credit their performance on the day when the mares are subsequently
presented for IHB Mare Premium Scheme
Contribute generously
towards the prize fund for the Winner and Runner-Up in the FEHL
League Accumulator (best of five Qualifiers) in each age group
Commenting on these developments,
Lt. Col. Ronnie MacMahon, FEHL President, said:
'The IHB contribution clearly illustrates the unity of purpose
that exists between the Irish Horse Board and FEHL and confirms
the Board's appreciation of the integrity of our organisation.
We are indeed most grateful and appreciative.'
